Terms & Conditions

Last updated: December 2025

1. Introduction

Welcome to Zero Waste Tickets. These terms and conditions govern your use of our platform for purchasing and selling event tickets. By using our service, you agree to these terms.

No one really reads terms and conditions, do they? But since you’re here, let’s take a moment to think about technology. It has the potential to do incredible things: connecting people, solving problems, and making life easier. Yet, in the hands of big tech, it often seems to cause more harm than good, with issues like surveillance and manipulation, addictive design, and hyper-growth at any cost.

But this isn’t big tech. This is small tech. This is a website trying to keep things simple, useful, and sustainable. Can a small website survive without chasing relentless growth or exploiting its users? We think it can, and we’re determined to find out. We believe in staying ethical, straightforward, and practical.

2. Using Our Service

Zero Waste Tickets provides a platform for event organizers to sell tickets and for attendees to purchase them. We act as an intermediary and are not responsible for the events themselves.

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use our service
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You agree to provide accurate information when purchasing tickets
  • You agree not to use the site for any unlawful purpose

The service we provide is low-cost, but it comes with no guarantees or warranties. If you need something more formal, like a Service Level Agreement (SLA), feel free to contact us to discuss alternative arrangements.

We ask that you use this website fairly and honestly. It’s not intended for dodgy or unethical stuff. If you like our principles, we hope you’ll use the site in a way that aligns with them.

3. Tickets & Refunds

Ticket purchases are subject to the refund policy set by each event organizer. Please review each event's specific terms and conditions before purchasing.

4. Privacy

"Your privacy matters to us." Yeah, loads of sites put that in their privacy policy but then proceed to drop 100s of cookies and trackers on your browser and sell your data to dodgy data brokers. We do take your privacy seriously. We only collect information necessary to process your ticket purchases and do not sell your data to third parties.

You may have noticed there’s no annoying cookie popup here. That’s because we don’t track you, advertise to you, or sell your data. The only cookies we use are functional ones so you can log in and use the site properly. That’s it.

We store data necessary to provide the service you’ve signed up for, such as ticket and event information. Event organizers may have their own terms for what they do with data you provide for their events, but as far as we’re concerned, your data is only used to enable ticket purchases and ensure the site functions smoothly.

We don’t do anything dodgy with your data. Plain and simple.

5. Organizer Responsibilities

Event organizers using our platform agree to:

  • Provide accurate event information
  • Honor all valid tickets
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Communicate any event changes to ticket holders promptly
  • Run safe events and clearly communicate code of conduct or consent policies where applicable.

6. Support

We provide support on a best-effort basis. We’ll try to be helpful, but we can’t promise perfection.

7. Accessibility

We are committed to making our website accessible to everyone. If you encounter any issues while using the website or have suggestions on how we can improve accessibility, we would love to hear from you. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us enhance our offerings and ensure the site works for everyone.

8. Direct Payments with Event Organizers

Our platform is designed to facilitate direct payments between attendees and event organizers. As an event organizer, you will need a Stripe account to receive payments. When an attendee purchases a ticket, the payment goes directly to the event organizer through their Stripe account, not to us.

This approach ensures faster payouts for organizers and a transparent transaction process for attendees. As an organizer, it’s your responsibility to set up and manage your Stripe account correctly. As an attendee, please be aware that your purchase is made directly from the organizer, and any issues with payments or refunds should be addressed with them directly, in accordance with their specific policies.

9. Limitation of Liability

Zero Waste Tickets is not liable for any issues arising from the events themselves, including cancellations, changes, or the conduct of organizers or attendees.

10. Changes to Terms

By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
